Kurt J. Jung, Esquire

Attorney Kurt Jung focuses his practice on employment litigation matters.  Prior to forming the Jung & Jaeger Law LLC, he worked for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in various positions.  His extensive experience includes working as an investigator, trial attorney, enforcement supervisor, state and local program manager, and administrative judge.  As an EEOC trial attorney, he litigated cases in federal court on behalf of aggrieved individuals and the EEOC in matters involving Title VII of the Civil Rights, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Equal Pay Act.  In his role as an administrative judge, he was responsible for adjudicating cases filed by federal employees against their agencies.  As an enforcement supervisor, he managed the investigation, conciliation, and litigation development of cases to be filed in federal court.  As EEOC’s state and local program manager, he was responsible for reviewing and auditing the investigation and litigation development of employment discrimination cases that were dual filed with State and Local Fair Employment Practice Agencies including the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations, and the New Jersey Division of Civil Rights. Kurt retired after 36 years of federal service.

After a lengthy federal career, he served as the Director of Enforcement for the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC).  In his role as a Senior Manager for the PHRC, he initiated and instituted policies that supported the PHRC’s mission to eradicate illegal discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodation, education, and commercial property pursuant to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

After leaving both federal and state government,  he litigated employment cases and represented clients in the private and public sectors.  He also has experience in the litigation of Special Education cases in lawsuits filed against school districts in New Jersey.

Kurt is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors of the West Jersey Music Academy, a non-profit music school in Moorestown, NJ, with the mission of providing music instruction and performance opportunities for all, including people with disabilities, seniors, and the indigent. Kurt is a long-time resident of New Jersey, happily residing in Burlington County with his wife and two children.
